Clinically proven fast, effective and long lasting

A published review by DeMey et al from 2008 gives an overview on five randomized, placebo-controlled, double-blind clinical trials with the local anaesthetic ambroxol in the treatment of sore throat. Treatment with ambroxol lozenges (20 mg) was statistically significantly superior in reducing sore throat pain intensity with a high level of consistency of the estimated effect across the different studies:

  • Significant and relevant reduction of pain
  • Fast onset of action
  • Effect lasting for at least 3 hours after the single first lozenge
  • A clear reduction of pharyngeal redness underlines the anti-inflammatory effect
